WHERE THE SONG AND THE TAROT CARD MEET.

When it comes to her art, there’s nothing haphazard about anything that singer and songwriter SATE does. The Toronto-based artist recently released her latest record The Fool, named after the hero of the Tarot deck of cards. The Fool, in Tarot, represents new beginnings, optimism, keeping faith in the future, improvisation, and believing in the universe, themes that all play into this impressive new batch of songs.

There are some interview or feature opportunities that I get that both scare me shitless and excite me. It's when I'm asked to basically write a piece, a blog, I guess. I love writing and taking folks down the rabbit hole of my imagination. It's getting the opportunity to explain how things that may be unlikely, somehow (in my mind) align, and the challenge of explaining how they do. Perhaps I get off on being understood? Is that even a thing? It's a thing now. I'm claiming it.
