TODAY, in alignment with the full moon in Aquarius (my moon sign) and full moon energy (which is always about release/letting go/completion), I’m releasing a song called When I Let You Go. I recorded this song during the RedBlack&Blue sessions — and for the select Warriors that have those EPs from the sessions, you know this song.
I wrote this about trusting my intuition to leave a toxic codependent relationship. I was visualizing myself on the other side of fear, insecurity and doubt; reassuring myself that even in my darkest moments, I was gonna make it out and I would be alright.
Releasing this song is a bridge between the old, RedBlack&Blue and the new, The Fool. We’re still in transitionary times being met with emotions, structures, systems, people, stories that we need to release.
Blast this shit loud. Dance. Move whatever is making you doubt your intuition on what you know is no longer working for you. Follow the feeling in your gut, the whispers in your ear, the chills up your spine, the hairs that rise on your arms. You don’t need ANYONE’S permission to do what you know is right for you.
I believe we’re right where we’re meant to be, shedding, uncovering, remembering, refining and deepening into self knowing. If that resonates with you, then, welcome home. Regardless, shout out to all of you for wading through, being human and making it to where you are, in spite of it all.
